A unique atelier in Manhattan's Murray Hill neighborhood, THE DRESS offers party and wedding dresses by couture designer Mary Adams. Her creations combine over-the-top romance with classic style and wit. Whether you get something custom-made or off-the-rack, you will walk away feeling flirty, fetching and one-of-a-kind.
Each of Mary's custom dresses is handmade and personally tailored by her. At your first consultation, you will talk with her about your needs, ideas and expectations. As part of the process, you will browse pictures, try on rack samples, and together, choose fabrics and colors. There will be several fittings with Mary, as the dress is being made, to ensure a perfect fit. The result, is a dress that looks, and is, made just for you!
An early pioneer of the now trendy Lower East Side, Mary opened THE DRESS in 1984 on Ludlow Street where she resided for 25 years. She relocated to Murry Hill in the spring of 2008.
